Later the inventor of the game Phillip Budeikin was arrested and pled guilty ‘inciting atleast 16 teen age girls to suicide’ leading to Russian suicide preventiom legislation and renewed world wide concern over the blue whale phenomenon . It has also been linked to other rising self harm trends such as human embroidery in China.
The game is basically the interrelationship between the players and participants (and also between challengers). The game is basically all about completing the task which has to be completed given by the administrator. Usually one task is been given per day. Which also includes self-mutilation.
Some of the tasks are given in advance while some are given at once the task is being completed and gradually the final task ends up with suicide.
This game is being played for 50 days which includes waking up at morning at 4:20am climbing a crane, carving a specific phrase of a person own hand or arm, doing secret tasks ,poking a needle to arm or leg ,standing on bridge and roof ,listening to music and watching videos sent to the challenge by the administrator.
One of these music videos was originally for Norwegian singer Emilie Nicolar upbeat song ‘Pstereo’.It had dubbed by the administrator and set to BENV’S hauntingly somper remix of Australian singer.

India : This case took place in Solapur (Maharashtra) on 9August 2017. A 14 year old boy left his house in morning for school.On the way to his school he got a blue whale challenge. As the boy did not return on time after school the parents got panic and went for his search.Later they observed that the boy had a mobile phone with him.
It was not possible for the parents to search for him over a far distance. They complained it to a nearby police station, the police tracked the phone and location were detected later they came to know that the boy was traveling in a bus which was going to Pune (Maharashtra). The police followed the location and the boy was found and then handed him safely to his parents and saved him from further dangerous tasks from a blue whale. Argentina: In San Juan Province,Argentina a 14 year old boy was admitted to intensive care after participating in a blue whale challenge.
In La Plata the grand parents of 12 year old girl complained to the police and expressed concern that she had wounded her arm with a sharp object due to blue whale challenge.
On 27 june 2017 16 year old Benjamin died in San Martin De Parana hospital in the Province of Entire Rios.He had been hospitalized since 31 may 2017 , after attempting to complete the final suicide challenge.
India: On 30 July 2017 a 14-year-old boy committed suicide by jumping from the 7th floor of an Andheri (East) building in a city of Mumbai (Maharashtra). Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis the suicide on the blue whale game through the Mumbai police said that they had not found any evidence that the child had played the game.
